A RARE MULTIPLE OF THE 1864 2¢ LAID PAPER NUMERAL BEARING THE BANCROFT PAPERMAKER SEAL.

According to Crocker, the paper ordered specially for the printing of the 1864 laid paper issues, by Postmaster General Kalakaua, came from the firm of Bancroft & Co. of San Francisco.
