Mexico, (Mazatlan) Rosario (Mineral del), red two-line postmark (YB unlisted) on 1837 folded letter addressed to US Consul Burrough in Vera Cruz, with additional "Octubre 12" date stamp below, manuscript "4" reales rate on reverse, docketed in Mazatlan, this letter went out of the mail to Rosario located on the main route to Mexico City, F.-V.F., a rare unlisted mark, Burrough was the most important US diplomat in Mexico at that time.
