Die 537, original 207 x 254mm photo essay with typed "Bureau of Engraving and Printing" on reverse and "Bureau of Engraving and Printing Div. - Photolitho Sec., Reg No. '26975' " handstamp with pencil number, Very Fine. Scott No. UX21E-I var.
USPCC No. S28E-I var.    Estimate $300 - 400.

THE ONLY RECORDED EXAMPLE OF THIS ORIGINAL B.E.P. PHOTO ESSAY.

No essay of this die was known to exist as late as May 1958, at which time one was made for the Bureau records, and used in the production of this photograph. The original die, P.O. Die number 537, is now held in the vaults of the Bureau of Engraving and Printing
