Proprietary, 1871, 2¢ green & black, double transfers, large group of 14 mostly green paper stamps and two RB2P4 proofs including one in an unused block of four, positions 3, 8, 28, 108 noted, range of cancels, faults to be expected; also includes an RB3 with plate gouge, F.-V.F. group for the specialist.

Proprietary, 1871, 6¢ green & black, double transfers, single of each showing double transfer variety, violet paper is mint o.g., h.r., green paper with printed "E.F. & Co., N.Y., Jan. 1. 1876" cancel, Very Fine and rare double transfer varieties, The RB6a double Transfer is unpriced in Scott, while the RB6b is unlisted.

AN ATTRACTIVE EXAMPLE OF THE $5 PROPRIETARY ON VIOLET PAPER.

Examples of the $5.00 Proprietary Issue almost invariably have faults, due to the stamp's large size and the nature of its use. The Kingsley book contains a table showing 2,109 stamps ordered and he records only 119 copies extant.

Proprietary, 1914, 4-3/8¢ black, bottom selvage single, o.g., intense shade and proof-like impression, exceedingly well centered for this stamp, Very Fine; with 1981 P.F. certificate.

AN OUTSTANDING EXAMPLE OF THE 4-3/8¢ 1914 PROPRIETARY ISSUE.

This is a difficult issue to obtain with decent centering as many have perfs touching on one or two sides.
