Great Britain, Collection, 1840-1951, housed on pages in Scott album with an emphasis on the early classic issues mostly in duplication; starting with Mulready 1d unused and 2d used, used four margin 1840 1d & 2d issues with additional copies, most of the later issues complete including 1847 1sh on cover, 1862 including mint issues, 1867 5sh with multiple singles used, additional study of the 1860-70's issue including the various plates, 1883 2sh6d mint with later high value used, 1887 Jubilees mint with additional mint multiples, KEVII issue complete mixed */o, later issues with shades and better high value present, also includes a substantial plating section of of 45 different 19th century issues including the 1884 5sh value; inspection highly recommended.

Great Britain, Collection, 1840-1999, three volume collection very well-filled mint and used collection in three Gibbons Windsor hingeless albums, volume one 19th Century used with specialized Queen Victoria including shades and plate numbers, just a few highlights including Scott #1 Penny Black (4), 2 (3), 5, 5a, 7, 19 (2), 22, 24 (2), 25, 28 (3), 37 (2), 40, 40a, 42, 42a, 46, 52 (2), 53 (4), 55d, 57 (3), 65, 69, 70, 71, 73, 96 (2), 98-107, 108 (2), 109 (2), 127 etc., some nice officials, also King Edward VII high values 139 (3), 139a, 139c, 140 (2), 140b and 141, KGV Sea Horses 173, 173a-e, 174a and b, 179, 179a-c, 180, 181, 222-24 etc., mint featuring a PUC Pound #209, and various KGV, KGVI and pre-decimal QEII, volumes two and three contain nearly complete QEII decimal issues 1971-99 with regionals and some booklets and souvenir sheets, owner's Scott $60K+, well collected and worth inspection.

Lot 2696 /o   

Great Britain, Collection, 1840-1974, well formed collection housed on quadrille pages in springback album; starting with nice four margin 1840 1d & 2d with additional 1d on cover, following issue with huge margins, 1847-54 embossed issues with 1sh with four margins, used completion in later 1850's issues including 1856 1d perf 16 (S.G. 36) complete plating and a partial plating of the 1858 2d (45), 1860's issues many with complete plate singles for the various issues including 1862 4d plates 7-14, 1867-80 issues complete tot the 5sh with additional plates, 1870 ½d with better plate no. including plate 9, 1873-80 issues including 1sh plates 8-13 and the 1sh salmon issue, near complete plating of the 1880 1d red brown issue, 1883-84 issues complete with the 5sh & 10sh high values, 1902-11 KEVII issue complete tot he 10sh, later including Seahorses lacking only the £1 issue and thereafter predominantly mint, back-of-the-book with complete mint dues and some additional used, nice showing of Officials worth checking, also Mulready lettersheet 1d used and 2d mint and a 1d envelope; a nice collection with condition a bit above the norm, worth careful inspection.
