Indonesia, Accumulation, mix of various collections of Netherlands Indies as well as Java, Sumatra and Republic Indonesia issues, includes a nice collection of Java issues with better 1945 issues and good Sumatra, also a strong showing of covers and postal entires with a nice array of postmarks from the turn of the century, some early Neth. Indies maritime stampless with large ovals including "Zee Brief, Riouw" in black and red, as well as others, some interesting later postal history, etc.; worth a look.

Indonesia, Collection, 1945-97, lot of 2 collections and a stockbook; highlight is the stockbook full of better late 1950’s through 1990’s sets and souvenir sheets; nearly all never hinged.

Iran, Waybill Collection, 1910's, 30 waybills written up on pages; all franked with 1915 Coronation issues with values up to 3 tomans; condition a little mixed, unusual with this issue.

Ireland, Collection, 1922-1988, complete mint collection housed in one Lighthouse Hingeless Album with slipcase, included are all of the good overprint sets through the 10sh Seahorse value, which appear to be all never hinged, the 10sh Seahorse (#38, Cat. $2400, has a Holcombe opinion stating "unmounted", the stamp was a light bend which is not mentioned on the cert.), a wonderful collection which is worth careful inspection.
Estimate    $2,000 - 3,000.

Isle of Man, Railway Air Service & West Coast Air Service Covers, specialized two volume collection of early flight covers, Volume One including Railway Air Service (first official flight service) 1934, Volume Two including West Coast Air Service 1935-37, each cover annotated on its own page, including real photo postcards with autographed Mabel Glass and Shiela Glass female aviators who participated in the fourth international air races London-Isle of Man May 27, 1939 and Manx air derby May 29, 1939, the ladies are posed in front of the aircraft B.A. Klemm Eagle and other pilot-signed covers throughout, a surprisingly great group.

Israel, Collection, mint & used collection housed in 6 Lighthouse Hingeless Albums with slipcases, includes many sets and single both with & without Tabs, mixed hinged & never hinged, few better items included, please inspect, frankly the replacement value of the albums alone is worth more than the estimation.

Lot 2722 /o   

Italian Area, Collection, 1863-2000, mounted on Minkus pages mint and used; Italy with many better sets of the 30's, after WWII it is almost complete and from 1993-2000 all mint, accompanying this are mostly mint collections of the Aegean Islands, Italian Colonies, Italian Colonies, Italian Somaliland (Somalia) is very well-filled from 1954 into the 80's and almost all mint, Trieste was also a nice surprise with a fabulous mostly mint collection, San Marino which is nearly complete from 1950-2000 with only a few used until 1970, Vatican City until 2000 missing the Pope Pius XI surcharges; only a few used stamps early on, otherwise entirely mint.

Sicily, Ferdinand II Issue Group, 18 stamps and three covers; includes four 1g issues in shades including a nice four margin mint, four mint 2g issues and three single franking covers, 10g indigo, 5g mint & used, two 20g values in shades, 50g mint o.g. and unused block of four; many four margin examples, with Scott cat in excess of $20,000, nice group.
Estimate    $1,000 - 1,500.
