This is the discovery example of this very rare Railroad Route Agent marking.

N-Y & ERIE/R.R., bright red Mar 17 c.d.s. on cover to Addison, N.Y. franked with a gorgeous four-margin brownish carmine 3¢ type II (11A var.) cancelled with a matching, bright red grid, Extremely Fine. A choice example of this rare marking.
