1798, First Federal Issue, 30¢ Connecticut, bold embossed impression, on fresh promissory note of $3,000 for 40 days, dated Dec 28, 1798, some manuscript over embossing, Very Fine.

1798, First Federal Issue, 75¢ Connecticut, strong embossed impression on demand note of $1,335 dated December 19, 1779, for value received in insurance upon the ship Maty and cargo; some lightened manuscript notation over embossing, F.-V.F., an extremely rare embossed revenue stamp, with only four examples reported, ex-Joyce.

1798, First Federal Issue, 50¢ Georgia, strong impression, on Superior Court Office document dated October 21, 1800; some paper erosion and toning at right, embossing at upper left with manuscript heading over stamp, Fine, Combs wrote that Georgia documents are generally in poor condition, still a very rare stamp with only seven examples reported, ex-Joyce.

1798, First Federal Issue, 75¢ Massachusetts, sharp detailed embossing, on bond note for $2,730 plus interest for over one year, dated April 24, 1779 and signed by American soldier and politician William Hull and countersigned by his wife and another relative; minor edge wear, Very Fine, printed bond forms are rare, ex-Joyce.

William Hull was an American soldier and politician. He fought in the American Revolutionary War and was appointed as Governor of Michigan Territory (1805-13).

1798, First Federal Issue, 30¢ New Jersey, strong detailed impression, on promissory note of $1,249 for 60 days dated February 4, 1800, note signed by George Clymer who was a signer of the Declaration of Independence and the Constitution; couple cross cut cancels sensibly reinforced, Very Fine, quite rare with only eight stamp reported and one of four signed by George Clymer.
