California Forgery Covers, two covers; with bisected 1851, 12¢ black (17) tied by fake Sacramento City, Cal. cds, and a genuine 1851, 10¢ green type II (14) usage San Francisco to Vermont with forged Noisy Carrier's scroll handstamp, Very Fine appearance.

California State Prison & Prison Censor Covers, 1904-63, group of 15 covers; includes four cover from Folsom Prison including 1904 cover with prison corner card (Commissary) and three covers from 1930's with censor markings, 10 covers from San Quentin including 1930 cover with "Censored, No Money Enclosed" handstamp and enclosure with prison notice regarding corresponding with prisoners, later 1935-49 covers showing various censor handstamps, also a censor 1963 cover from the Branch County Jail in Clayton, Cal., Very Fine.

Kern County Post Card Accumulation, 1900-40's, of approximately 300 post cards loose with some sleeved; an array of views and scenes from various towns, the best being a least 23 real-photo post cards including "Burning Well - Taft Cal." and "Main Street, Moron, Calif. (Taft P.O.)", some birds eye and street views from Bakersfield and Randsburg (real-photo), mix of used/unused card with good postmark interest, etc.; condition a little mixed.

(Marin) San Rafael, Cal., group 26 covers and cards mostly from the 1860-70's; mostly 2nd-4th type cds's with fancy killer handstamps, 2nd type cds (MEN-2630) with fancy cross handstamp (2 types), 3rd type (MEN-2640) with star in circle in violet, circle of wedges (4 types), negative "EP" in circle, hollow cross, etc., other later cds with fancy killers including triangle geometric, spiral geometrics and circle of wedges, generally F.-V.F. or better.

(Mariposa) Yosemite Postmark Balance, of 51 covers and cards; includes two manuscript "Yo Semite" postmarks with one on 2¢ Liberty postal card, numerous "Yosemite Valley" 2nd type handstamp postmarks (MAR-2210) in red, violet and black, including hotels advertisements for the "Barnard's Yo Semite Falls Hotel" and "Wright & Cooke Yo-Semite Valley Hotel", later postmarks including the scarce MAR-2230, MAR-2240 in blue (two distinct shades) and reddish violet, MAR-2250 in purple and blue, later usages including uprated postal cards to Europe, Wells, Fargo & Co. frank cover, illustrated hotel covers including 1879 Leidig's Hotel, 1890-1900's Sentinel Hotel (3 different) and Stoneman House (2 different), 1900's Camp Yosemite, some interesting 20th century including two official mail usages, generally F.-V.F.

(Sacramento) Sacramento, Cal., group of 207 covers and cards, mostly from 1850-80's; includes the first two non-integral rate cds's (SAC-2520, 2530) with a host of various rate handstamps including some various handstamp types, incoming and outgoing forwarded usages, 1851 3¢ usages, later usages including a faulty but rare "Via Tehuantepec" usage, "6 Paid" integral rate cds (SAC-2540) in black and red, "Free" usages from the J.W. Denver correspondence (with some good content), nice section of 1860's usages including fancy "stars in shield" handstamp as well as an array of stylized leaf cancels, crossroads, geometrics, etc., patriotic usages, corner card & ad covers including shaded allover, The "Bain Wagon" illustration, etc., similar 1870-80's usages with ad items including Templar cover with illustrated letterhead, allover California map, run of Hall, Luhrs & Co. ad covers showing pigs, postmarks including and comprehensive array of waffle grid cancels, etc., generally F.-V.F. or better.

San Francisco 1906 Earthquake and Related, group over a 100 items including two free San Francisco quake uses, one quake use with magenta "Due 2 cts" handstamp, two quake uses with 2¢ postage dues (one faulty), a Citizen's Committee post-quake broadside discussing food and water supply, a Apr. 22nd San Francisco quake letter with good content, several post cards showing quake damage with various city views and many series cards, scenes including refugees, some earlier and later San Francisco mail plus post cards with various S.F. city and bay views; some mixed condition, F.-V.F. and interesting collection.

(San Joaquin) Stockton, Cal., group of 41 covers with townmarks mostly from 1852-57; with first non-integral rate cds (SAJ-2310) with various ratemarkers including arched "Paid 3" in blue and black, additional in black with "5" rate handstamp over "3", blue "5" rate with oval "Forwarded" handstamp, straight line Paid with "5" and "6" rate handstamps, "10" and "12" in oval rates, second smaller cds (SAJ-2320) with various rates including "Paid 12" in circle, straight line "Paid" and "24" in circle, "10" rate in various sizes, "20" rate in black and blue, etc., couple #11A pair usages, use to Canada, later integral cds's including "Paid" (SAJ-2840) one with red shield corner card handstamp, "3 Paid" (unlisted), 6 Paid (SAJ-2350) in blue and black and "10 Paid" (SAJ-2360), few incoming usages, etc., generally F.-V.F. or better.

(Yuba) Marysville, Cal., group of 38 covers and cards, mostly from the 1850's; includes the first non-integral rate cds (YUB-830) with ratemarkers including "Paid 6" in circle, "10" rate (2 types), also red cds with blue grids tying #11 pair, etc., various integral rate cds's including "10" including with straight line "Paid" below, also a "Due" below on 6¢ Nesbitt entire, "5" (unlisted), "20" including with "Paid", "26 Paid" usage to Switzerland, "Paid By Stamps" including fancy large Star and large grid killers, "Paid 6" in red and blue, "Free", etc., some other usages including the W.T.
