1847, 5¢ red brown, horizontal pair, clear to huge margins, tied by square red grid cancels, matching "New-York, Jun 23" cds on blue 1849 folded letter to St. Catherines, Canada West, endorsed "paid to the lines", light Queenston transit (6.26) cds and manuscript "4½" pence due rating, Very Fine, ex-Gross; with 1990 and 2020 P.F. certificates.

1847, 5¢ grayish brown, double transfer (type "A"), position 80R1, showing clear double transfer of top frame line, large to huge margins including part of right sheet margin, deep shade and early impression, tied by light strike of blue grid of dots cancel with matching "Amherst Mass. Mar 10" cds on blue folded cover to Bernardston, Mass.; 5¢ with very minor small bleaching spots in right margin, still an Extremely Fine stamp, ex-Saadi, Gross; with 1995 and 2020 P.F. certificates.

1847, 10¢ black, ample to mostly large margins, crisp impression, tied by two strikes of red Scarab fancy cancel in 1849 folded letter to Rochester, N.Y., matching red "St. Johnsbury, Vt., Apr 17" cds; cover with some toning removed from bottom right corner, still Very Fine, an attractive example of the famous St. Johnsbury Scarab fancy cancel, ex-Craveri; with 1999 P.F. certificate.

The USPCS census lists only six 10¢ covers with this fancy cancel.
