Postal Stationary Cut Squares Collection, 1853-1999, well-filled collection in Scott album; starts with a nice unused U1 ($350), U9, U12 ($145), and U18 ($375), U19, W20, W21, U39, U64-65, U74, U78, and U99 ($110), used items including U2-4, U40, U61, U75, and W77, in addition to these better items, there are literally hundreds of neat cut squares showing their lovely pastel colors on dozens of pages up to the early 1900s, later surprises are U436h the color error, a 3¢ carmine rather than purple, U500 ($60), and U511 ($200); ideal starter lot formed by a careful collector just waiting for a serious buyer to take it to the next level.Estimate $500 - 750.
