Japan, Balance, various mint & used issues on album pages and in sale type books; album pages starting with early classic with no forgeries appear to be present, including 1871-72 first issues with a little duplication, Cherry Blossom issues */o with very pleasant duplication into high values and syllabics needing to be checked, later issues to the 1920's with good mint throughout, books holding additional genuine Cherry Blossom issues mostly used in modest duplication, later issues with mint and possible cancel interest, also nice showing of Offices Aboard issues with some high values; please inspect for full evaluation (See website for images).

Japan, Collection, 1874-1989, useful collection housed in two Scott albums; with early classics virtually all forgeries to 1876 with a few genuine, later with good basic representation and predominately mint after 1920's, nice showing of Park sheets and other good sheets and some better sets, modern with completion and some covers; useful back-of-the-book with some good mint airmails, etc.

Japan Specialized Cancellation Collection, 1871-1970's, housed in 6 Scott albums, thousands of singles with some multiples, majority of material definitives in the Koban and Chrysanthemum with a strong showing of early Cherry Blossom issues and some interesting later issues including a nice section of perfins; starting with early issues with Cherry Blossoms arranged by both issues and plates, to the occasion high value with forgery material mostly identified, wide array of cancellations with only a few identified, later Koban and Chrysanthemums with much of the cancellations identified including various postage due marks, various Bota and numeral cancels, nice socked-on-the-nose town marks, "Ship", foreign including I.J.P.O. & I.J.P.A., French packet, Hong Kong, railway, etc., etc., with later material similar fashion including I.J.P.O. on high value, foreign cancels, etc.; a nice array of material with any scarce or cancellation not identified, inspection highly recommended for the Japanese cancellation specialist.

Japan Collection, 1871-1970's, of virtually all mint issues mainly housed in 9 Governor albums; starting with a few post 1894 issues including a selection of first and second issues as well as some nice Cherry Blossoms, two sets of 1924 Empress Jingo (#188-189), one set of 1937 Empress Jingo (253-254), complete set 1948-49 Definitives (#425-436), complete set 1950-52 Definitives (#509-521B) in stockbook, later definitive runs, early commemoratives from 1894 quite complete including 10s Heir Apparent with additional Mihon overprint, 1st airmails, 1934 Communications Day Airmail sheet x2 one l.h. and one n.h. later issues with some blocks, definitives including 1908 5y and good completion in later missing some better high values but also later perf. printing, noted is a number of color and paper varieties, freak paper and printing, 1935 1½s mini sheet of 20 n.h., completion in National Park sheets with folders, all other good sheets present including 1946 Govt Postal Service 1st & 2nd printings, 1946 Expo sheet n.h., later lesser sheets including JSCA sub-varieties, 1948 Philatelic Week sheet n.h., 1949 Children's Day sheet and additional orange omitted singles, 1949 Electric Commemorative sheets (one with blue offset on reverse), 1949 Philatelic Week n.h., 1949-52 Famous Men issues complete, and later issues with strong completion and variety; lots of good to better material and n.h. throughout, inspection highly recommended.
