A RARE ORIGINAL GUM EXAMPLE OF THE 1861, 1¢ BLUE, TYPE I SHOWING EVERY ASPECT OF THE DESIGN. A MAGNIFICENT STAMP.

Due to the spacing and perforating, many surviving examples of this type have the design characteristics at top or bottom affected by the perforations. The example offered here, showing the complete design at top and bottom, is a true condition rarity.
