Mexico, 1913, Sonora, 5c black & red, type a, complete sheet of 10, top right and bottom left stamps showing the CENTAVOB error, near complete Peerless Mills watermark in gutter margin (not on stamps), complete sheet of 10, without gum as issued, some usual vertical roulette separations and a vertical crease between stamps, otherwise Very Fine, a very scarce complete sheet.

Mexico, 1913, Sonora, 10c black & red, colorless roulette, embossing omitted, bottom sheet margin horizontal strip of 5, without gum as issued, bright and fresh, Very Fine, a very rare multiple and seldom offered.
Scott No. 328 var.    Estimate $300 - 400.

Examples of the white issue without embossing are believed to be from remainders found in the printing office at the time of Carranza - Villa break and are considered to be very rare.

Mexico, 1913, Sonora, 5c black & red, type d, black roulette, complete sheet of 10, with top left and bottom right pairs showing the "MARO" spelling error, and a full Yukon Aurora watermark at center affecting five stamps including one Maro error stamp, without gum as issued, bright and fresh intact sheet, Very Fine, with catalog value not reflecting the value for the Maro error and watermark combination.

Mexico, 1913, Sonora, 5c black & red, type d, black roulette, top margin single tied by light "Hermosillo, Sonora, 24 Jun 1913" cds's on commercial corner card cover to Nogales; some cover wear and slightly reduced at left, F.-V.F., this is likely the earliest known usage of this 5c Sonora issue.

Previous studies mark the earliest usage of this stamp on July 1st, 1913 however this cover is dated one weak before.

Mexico, 1913 Sonora Issue Sheet Study Collection, a remarkable collection of 48 complete sheets of 10 identified on exhibit pages by Linn's Plate #'s; includes White Sonora issues with Scott #322 (Plate II) with watermark, #323-324 se-tenant sheet with watermark (Plate III), #328 x2 with and without watermark (Plate V), Green Seal issues with #336 x2 with and without watermark (Plate II), #337 x3 (Plate IV), #339 x4 two with watermark (Plate V), #344 x3 (Plate VIII), #341 x9 (Plates XI, XVII & XVII), #342 x6 (Plates XV & XX) and a remainder strip without seal, #343 x11 (Plate XII & XXI), #344 x5 (Plates VII & IX) one with "Yukon Aurora" watermark (Scott unlisted and certainly rare), #345 (Plate XIX) and #346 x3 (Plate XXII), with printing varieties throughout including including "MARO", "CENTAVOB", "erano" & "Centavo" errors; an excellent holding for the Sonora issue specialist.
