Fancy Cancels on 1875, 2¢ Liberty Card Collection, of 26 cards with a nice array of fancy cancellations; includes Worcester, Mass. with negative tombstone, stars & strips in shield and negative A in segmented circle, Gloucester, Mass. "76", Denver, Col. "$" in circle, Peroria, Ill. Head in Profile, Calais, Me. Man's Hat, various stars, Zellenople, Pa. "Z", Quinton, N.J. "Q" in wreath; nice strikes throughout.

New York Domestic Fancy Cancels, over 80 covers all franked with 1861-68 3¢ issues; with an array of geometric duplexed postmark including wedges, petals, crossroads, segmented grids, circular geometrics, etc.; a nice variety throughout and an excellent study group for the specialist, ex-Erivan.

Gun Company Letterheads, group of 12 different letters including some multicolored illustrated designs like Peters Cartridge with Peacock design, Dupont showing Quail on Fence Rail, Robin Hood Ammunition showing Robin Hood with Bow, some showing factory buildings, plus three Winchester invoices and one illustrated for Furs; one faulty.

Patriotic Cover Balance, group of 38 covers with seven unused; wide range of common to scarce designs includes couple Jeff & Davis dogs caricatures, McClellan portraits, allover Kentucky - Loyal to the Union, Game Cock of Uncle Sam, Lincoln campaign (faulty), etc., three non-contemporary usages including Magnus design from Newfoundland, unused including multicolored Rose of Washington Magnus cover; condition varies, inspect.

Patriotic Covers, 1860-1865, over 250 mint entire's housed in two albums, a very large and varied series of designs, including Flags, Liberty designs, some with slogans, eagles, some from the Confederacy, a great number of humorous types with hilarious but very cryptic slogans and imagery, several Berlin & Jones types in full color, many with heroes and generals of the Union army, a good number showing blacks in an unfavorable light, many are multi colored, some skull and crossbones design foretelling the death and destruction of many, too many interesting items to describe all of them here, a very nice holding with many better types, chronicling the Civil War in all it's glory and shame.
Estimate    $2,500 - 3,500.

Civil War Postal History, 1861-1865, small group of 50 U.S. and C.S.A. covers including Union Soldier correspondence of 38 covers; better noted CSA Walhalia S.C. "Paid" "5" stampless use, CSA 2b dark blue use from Richmond Va. to Amherst C.H. Va.; CSA "Geneva Ga. March 21" manuscript. postmark and "Paid 5" rating to Augusta; three covers to POW with manuscript examiners markings, etc.; some mixed condition.
