(Tuolumne) Don Pedros Bar, Cal., Novem 29, manuscript postmark (TUO-640) on cover to Suisun City, Cala, franked with manuscript canceled 1857, 3¢ dull red single; enclosed four-page letter is worthy of transcription, as it contains much of the goings-on of the area including "perhaps it will become abandoned like Pleasant Valley after a while or become a China Town as there are a great many here"; minor edgewear due to thick letter, one small stain near manuscript marking, Very Fine and scarce.

Feb 3 and Feb 19, pair of folded business letters each with Sonora, Cal cds (TUO-1380): Feb 3 (1853) with two 3¢ 1851 issue imperf stamps with multiple strikes of indistinct numeral "5" negative handstamps, second with Feb 19 (1853) cds (TUO-1380) with one 3¢ 1851 issue stamp tied by "5" in circle handstamp, Very Fine, a very nice pair of covers.
