Trans-Atlantic covers to France, 1804-1860, a large selection of over one hundred and eighty covers from many different cities within the U.S. with a very wide variety of rates, carried on many different ships, going to a good number of towns and cities in France, there are also a good number of cover from France to the U.S., included are 1804 cover from Philadelphia to Bordeaux with "Post Maritime Bordeaux" handstamp, 1840 cover from New York, to Cognac with "Harndens Package Express" forwarding agent handstamp, these covers were carried on many different ships which include the Acadia, Atlantic, Canada and the Europe just to mention a few, a good variety of New York packet markings with integral rates ranging from 3 to 18 and much more, condition is mixed, careful examination should prove rewarding.Estimate $2,000 - 3,000.

Trans-Atlantic covers to Germany, 1850-1870, selection of seventy five covers, most are stampless but several are stamped with various adhesives, there is also a group which are from Germany with a wide range of origins and destination, a very diverse selection of various ship markings as well as "paid" and other transit markings, there are many N. York Am. Pkt Paid with integral rate markings from 3¢ to 46¢, there are cover from Hamburg, North German Federation and Prussia, two covers franked with 1¢ & 6¢ Banknotes paying the 7¢ rate in 1874, a fascinating group which need further study, many of the covers have detailed descriptions, condition is mixed, please inspect.Estimate $1,500 - 2,000.
