Airmail, 1918, 24¢ carmine rose & blue, "fast plane" variety, with vignette well into frame and almost into margin, tied by "Boston to New York" slogan cancel on first flight cover, postmarked large "Boston First Trip June 8, 1918" handstamp, addressed to early Collector, Edward Knapp with corner card from dealer Warren Colson, original enclosure sending regards by First Flight, Very Fine; with 2011 P.F. certificate.

Airmail, 1931 Post and Gatty Round the World Flight, cover franked with 2¢ carmine tied by "Mineloa, N.Y., June 2, 1931" machine postmark, Berlin postmark and purple Russian flight cachet handstamps, flight corner card signed by pilot Wiley Post and navigator Harold Gatty, Very Fine.
AAMC No. 1141; $650    Estimate $200 - 300.

The famous Wiley Post and navigator Harold Gatty made a record round the world flight in their airplane the "Winnie Mae".
