A WONDERFUL WELL CENTERED USED EXAMPLE OF THE 1861 10¢ FIRST DESIGN ISSUE.
The 1861 10¢ First Design, produced from Plate 4, has very little spacing between the stamps for the 12-gauge perforation holes. It's rare to find instances of Scott 62B (or #58) that are with margins clear of the design on all sides even close to being well-centered. This stamp is a remarkable exception, especially noteworthy as a used example in flawless condition.

A STUNNING MIXED FRANKING OF GREAT EYE APPEAL FOR BOTH THE U.S. COLLECTOR AND SWISS COLLECTOR.
This is the only known cover with the "Strubel" combination franking with the other country's adhesive tied by a Swiss postmark.
The cover was fully pre-paid to destination by the 120rp rate. The United States 3¢ adhesive was perhaps added by a travelling American tourist who thought the 3¢ stamp would ensure the delivery of the cover.
