Mexico, Chiapas, 1881, 50c green. Horizontal pair on piece in combination with 1884, 10c green, horizontal pair, both with district name only, tied by neat grid cancels, Very Fine.

Although the application of district names was discontinued at the end of 1883, some postmaster continued this practice. District overprints on the 1884 Hidalgo issues are considered to be rare.

Steamship, 10, May 18" integral rate cds, notation on reverse "…with endorsements for Bernie & Julia at hand - I will see the Post Master and ask him to hurry Julia's through as fast as he can"; 2r with vertical crease in left margin, Very Fine, a very rare usage of the 1864-66 Imperial Eagle issues to the United States; with 1997 MEPSI certificate.
