Baden, 1852, 9kr black on lilac rose. In combination with 1853, 6kr black on yellow paying the 33kr rate on 1860 folded commercial invoice to Green Point, N.Y., canceled by light "19" numeral target cancels with matching Bruchsal cds alongside, red "New York, Paid 15, Aug 2" entry cds and matching "12" handstamp at upper right; light file fold affecting adhesives, F.-V.F.

Baden, 1864, 1kr gray black. Neatly tied on 1868 cover by three strikes of the small "Heidelberg, Jun 19" cds on cover to Speyer, with tombstone receiving postmark on reverse, Extremely Fine and attractive (Michel €2,500 for strip on cover). Scott No. 19 var.

Baden, 1809-1900 Baden Local Postmark Exhibition Collection. 30 covers or cards mounted on annotated display pages; mostly stampless covers including 1809 usage to Paris with Rastatt straight line postmark, 1844 Leipzig to France folded letter with red "Bade Strasb" town and matching "S.T.B." box transits, other usages including registered, circular, "Rayon" postmarks, transatlantic to U.S. including depreciated currency, section of rural mail deposit box postmarks and postmarks on German Empires issues including a few off cover items, overall Very Fine.

Over 50 covers or cards and a couple dozen stamps annotated on display pages; few stampless 1830-40's "Rayon" postmarks, early issues tied by ring numerals include 1851 9kr + 1853 3kr tied by "115" Rastatt ring postmarks on cover to Vernoa with red "Via Di Suizzera" straight line handstamp, section of postal entires with choice to superb town markings, rural mail "Unrrad" numeral cancels on and off cover, Carlsruhe "177" large serrated ring & "164" railroad P.O. including on cover, other railroad, 19 incoming usages include 1873 U.S. to Pforziem, 1869 France to Kehl, turn of the century from Latin America, etc., overall Very Fine.

Baden, 1851-69 Baden Exhibition Collection. Well over 500 stamps and over 30 covers or entires mounted on display pages; 1851-52 with first printings used with minor shades and second printing mint and used, selection of used margin singles and multiples, 1853-58 issues mostly used with on piece items, 1860-62 issues with high value mint issues with shades, 1kr on wrapper Mannheim to Breslau, 1862 issue highlighted by mint o.g. well centered 3kr rose, perf 13½, 1862-65 issues mint with shades and used including two scarce used 30kr issues, other used with choice town and numeral target cancels, 1869 issues mostly used including plate variety, section of over 150 ring numeral cancels on various issues with some choice strikes, including blue and red color targets, also a selection town postmarks on approximately 100 various issues all hand-selected for choice readable strikes, postage dues including on large piece and forgery reference, nice range of covers throughout with some nice town usages, later issue combinations, railroad, foreign usage to France and England, etc.; a wonderful collection with many choice items throughout, overall Very Fine.

Over 150 stamps, dozens of cut squares and 45 covers mounted on display pages; starting with town postmark section on various issues, many on piece including multiples and combinations, choice on cover strikes, select postmarks most with full readable town names, with section of town postmarks on German Reich issues, also a section of ring numeral cancels again with various issues selection for central clear numeral strikes, including many on cover, including Mi. #10a on Ettlingen cover canceled with "12" ring, "29" on Mi. #3a, scarce "57" ring numerals tying 1851 9kr issues on separate covers (different town postmarks), 1853 3kr tied by blue "74" ring with matching Krotzinger straight line postmark, 1858 3kr pair and single tied by "115" ring with Rastatt town on cover, etc.; a lovely collection with many select postmarks throughout, overall Very Fine.
