Small lot of 13 covers with various Marysville postmarks and rate markings, included are three stampless covers with integral "6 Paid" postmarks (two in red & one in blue), two covers with "Paid 6" in blue oval (one cancelling a pair of 1851 3¢ orange brown), two stampless cover with 10 rates in blue (one in integral rate cds), four covers all with blue "Marysville Paid by Stamps" cds & with different type cancellers, etc., mixed condition, F.-V.F.

(Calaveras). 5 covers, including stampless with blue double circle cds (CAL-1890) and straight line "PAID" with manuscript 6, to Maine; #33 (stamp faulty) to NYC with cds (CAL-1900); 10¢ Nesbitt with bold cds (CAL-1900); 3¢ pink entire to San Francisco with blue cds; and 3¢ Nesbitt with red Wells Fargo Express oval and oval "PAID"; interesting all different group in F-VF condition.

Two strikes of light April 5 cds tying 1851 1¢ type II + 3¢ dull red, irregular block of 3 on cover to Washington, D.C., cover docketed "1855", bottom 3¢ creased, Very Fine, certainly one of the earliest known 10¢ Transcontinental rate covers which became effective April 1, 1855.
