Pensacola, Feb. 21st. (1823). Bold two line postmark (type IIId, 4 known) on folded cover to "The Hon. J.C. Calhoun, Secretary of State, Washington, D.C." with manuscript "Free", short note states, "Messrs. Jos. M. White, R.K. Call, Requests the troops will not be withdrawn from Pensacola." (White & Call were both non-voting delegate to the United States House of Representatives representing Florida Territory), two vert. file folds, Very Fine.
