1852, 3¢ dull red, type II. Large margins to just in at lower left, tied by New York cds on Geo. W. Mayher, Agricultural Warehouse embossed illustrated plow cameo corner card cover, with original bill enclosure with illustrated horse drawn thresher scene letterhead, Very Fine.

1856, 5¢ red brown + 10¢ green, type III. 5¢ with just shaving outer portion of projection at right, otherwise large margins, 10¢ clear to mostly large margins, neatly tied by light New Orleans cds & red "New York, Paid 12, May 19" transit cds on 1857 folded letter to Paris, France, Very Fine and choice, a wonderful cover which was transferred to Boston for the Cunard Line Steamer Europa, which departed May 20 and arrived in Liverpool on May 31, illustrated in Frajola & Mayer.

Upper right portion of stamp with full top margin, position 5R1 showing an unlisted rosette transfer in margin, tied by San Francisco, Cal. cds on cover to Boston, Mass., manuscript "per Steamship "Oregon" Sept 1st, 1853" endorsement at lower left; cover refolded and the repaired tear in backflap, Very Fine, a lovely and rare bisect usage from San Francisco; with 2007 P.F. certificate.

All tied by "San Francisco, Ca., Sep 24, 1860" cds's paying the 35¢ Prussian closed mail rate on cover to Locarno, Switzerland, straight line "Overland" handstamp with similar endorsement above, red Aachen boxed handstamp and reverse with red "New York, Oct 20" exchange cds, numerous transit and receiving backstamps; cover with light fold at top affecting strip, otherwise Very Fine.

Well centered amid nicely balanced margins, bright rich color, in combination with 1861, 1¢ blue paying the carrier fee on cover to Auburn, N.Y., tied by target cancels with "Philadelphia, Pa., Feb 1, 1862" cds additionally tying 1¢ stamp; 1¢ with unnoticeable vertical crease and tiny tear at right, otherwise Very Fine, a lovely and rare combination usage; with 1992 and 2005 P.F. certificates.
