Small hoard of documents, bank checks, letterhead enclosures, etc.; includes 1870 Oregon & California Rail Road Company bank check signed by Ben Holladay, 1880 Pacific Coast Steamship Co. time table, better reverse usages on documents, 1850 San Francisco post box receipt with postmark, 1907 Sentinel Hotel, Yosemite Valley illustrated letterhead, 1869 Mendocino road tax receipt, letterhead enclosures including fraternal and commercial items, etc. (no photo).

Exceptional assortment of perhaps 100 items, including Oregon, California, Nevada & Colorado gold mining stocks, Central Pacific, Union Pacific, Denver Rio Grande railroad bonds, Nevada state controller's warrants, Montana Territory bank drafts, California checks, Nevada bank drafts with state revenues, California Indian War Indebtedness bond; Adams Express and Wells Fargo documents, Oregon Stage Co drafts; and much, much more; condition F-VF or better, needs further study to determine accurate value (no photo).

Accumulation of 75 or so mostly elaborately illustrated billheads and stationery, including several Levi Strauss invoices, wide selection of merchants including clothing, foodstuffs, hats, auctioneers, hardware, printers, antiquarian books, Havana cigars, steam candy, cemetery gardener, carriages; especially nice illustrated stationery for The Raymond Hotel, East Pasadena; fancy lettersheet for Napa Collegiate Institute; and much much more; wonderful lot worth close examination (no photo).

(Western Ephemera Balances) 1860-1880, Better Western Documents. Group of 10 or so items, including Wells Fargo & Co.deposit receipts, one datelined Apl 2 1863 at Gold Hill N.T.; another draft 1884 M.E. Carter, Post Trader, Fort Bridges, Wyo. T.; several 1879 Grass Valley receipts to Washington Mining Co. for hardware, etc; 1853 shipping receipt for 100 bbls of flour bound for San Francisco, by "Nath'l Winsor, Jr.'s Line of Packets"; 1862 State of California Department of State Notary appointment signed by Secretary of State; Thanksgiving Dinner ticket at the Columbia Hotel, Nov. 30th, 1850; interesting lot (no photo).

Several 100's of bonds dated June 1st, 1868, in denominations of $50 & $100, with interest payable at the rate of 15% per annum, most seemingly paid off in 1873; several rather elaborate illustrations on front, condition generally F-VF or better, please inspect (no photo).

(Western Ephemera Balances) 1870's Territory of Montana Bonds. Group of 10 elaborately illustrated bonds, featuring Railroad and Mining scenes, denominations from $50 to $1,000, all signed by B.F. Potts, noted Territorial Governor; with coupons attached, all properly endorsed and redeemed, excellent condition, some coupons redeemed (no photo).
Estimate    $750 - 1,000.
