Confederacy, 1863, 10¢ blue, "T-E-N", four ample to large margins, tied by violet "Lynchburg, Va./May 25" cds on adversity cover made from legal form and addressed to Richmond, Very Fine and attractive, Lynchburg is one of the few Confederate States towns known to have violet postmarks, and undoubtedly this started out as a violet postmark, however through the years it has loss most of its violet coloring and now appears more as a black postmark with a tinge of violet color remaining. Still a wonderful cover & usage, ex-DuPuy.

Confederacy, 1863, 10¢ blue, "T-E-N", four clear to mostly large margins, minor margin toning, manuscript cancelled on small embossed ladies cover to Millwood, Va., manuscript postmark of "Tye R(iver) W(are) House (Va.)/Aug. 8, 1864" and manuscript endorsement at bottom "Care of Jas. H. Clark/via Winchester", included is small enclosure, few minor cover spots, Very Fine.

Confederacy, 1863, 10¢ blue, "T-E-N", large margins to just clear at bottom, rich color, tied by Summerville, N.C./Mar. 29 cds on cover to Locust Hill, N.C.; cover cleaned, thereby lightening address, otherwise Very Fine.

Confederacy, 1863, 10¢ blue, "frame lines", Horizontal Pair, large margins margins to just shaving outer oval on left stamp, shows full frame line between stamp & a tiny bit at bottom of left stamp, bright fresh color, tied by "Mobile, Ala. Sep. 21, 1863" double-circle datestamp on blue folded letter to Demopolis Ala., Extremely Fine and choice, a rate double rate cover franked with a Frameline Pair, signed Ashbrook and with his notes that these are Nos. 15-16 on the plate, ex-Matz.

Confederacy, 1863, 10¢ blue, "frame lines", frame lines nearly complete on three sides, barely missing at top, tied by neat Newman, Ga, cds on cover to Corinth, Ga., Extremely Fine and attractive, ex-DuPuy; with 1995 C.S.A. certificate.

Confederacy, 1863, 10¢ blue, "frame lines", Pos. 33, showing full or partial framelines on all four sides, tied by grid, matching "Farmville Va. Jul. 6" cds on homemade cover addressed to "Small Pox Hospital, Richmond Va.", few light toned spots on stamp, trivial corner crease at top right, still Very Fine, unusual address, ex-Bogg, DuPuy and Hall, signed Ashbrook.

Confederacy, 1863, 10¢ blue, "frame lines", large margins showing virtually full framelines on three sides and a bit of fourth frameline at left, tied by scarce blue "Richmond, Va." cds on over paid drop cover addressed to Florida Hospital, Richmond, Va., cover cleaned & some aging, lovely Extremely Fine appearance, a rare stamp show the frameline on all four sides.
