1857, 10¢ green, type II, single and pair, tied by "Olean, N.Y., Mar 5, 1859" cds duplexed with a small fancy circle obliterator on cover to Germany, red boxed Aachen entry handstamp with German distribution datestamp (Mar 24) on reverse along with a second strike of the Olean cds; small piece of flap missing, Very Fine.

1859, 10¢ green, type V, Vertical Pair, showing partial captured imprint in left margin, tied by grid handstamps on 1861 folded letter sheet to Vera Cruz, Mexico, "Stanhope, N.J., Feb 22" origin cds and "3" reales inland rate handstamp; cover refolded at top and repaired nick at top right, otherwise Very Fine, a rare captured imprint usage.

1857, 12¢ black, plate I, vertical pair + 3¢ rose, type I, tied by "Augusta, Ga., May 30" cds's on cover to Geneva, Switzerland, red "New York, Paid 9, Jun 4" cds and ultramarine Le Havre octagon cds, various transit receiving backstamps, small sealed cover tear at top, Very Fine.
Scott No. 36+25    Estimate $500 - 750.

This cover was franked at the 27¢ Bremen-Hamburg rate but was sent at the 21¢ French rate via New York and Le Havre (6¢ overpaid).

1857, 12¢ black, plate I, two pairs, tied by black grids and paying double the 24¢ rate on 1858 cover to Liverpool, England from East Cambridge, Mass. (Aug 18 cds on reverse), red entry cds (Sep 2), backstamped Liverpool (Sep 3); reduced slightly at right with minor perf damage at top due to edge placement of stamps, Very Fine; signed and annotated by Ashbrook.
