1857, 10¢ green, type II, manuscript cancel and tied by partial "Kittany Pa. May 10 1861" cds on "Long May it Wave" flag patriotic cover to Wyoming Station, Canada, endorsed "Via Detroit" at top left, reverse with Hamilton (5.13) and Wyoming (5.14) backstamps; reduced slightly at left, Very Fine.

1859, 10¢ green, type V, strip of three with left imprint capture, rich color, used with 3¢ dull red (26), tied by matching circular open grid cancels and "Paid" in circle cancel on 1861 cover to Calcutta, India, matching red "Deep River Ct. Apr 29" cds at left, prepaid for the 33¢ British mail rate, partial red New York Apr 30 exchange backstamp with magenta "28" cent credit rating, carried by Cunard Line Niagara from Boston May 1st to Queenstown arriving May 12th, red London (5.13) transit cds with red "1d" Colonial credit handstamp; left 10¢ couple short perfs, reduced slightly at left, a Very Fine and colorful use; with 2006 P.F. certificate.

Pkt. Feb 23" exchange backstamp, endorsed "Via Portland", carried by Allan Line North American from Portland Feb. 24th to Liverpool Mar. 7th, red London Paid (3.8) transit with grid cancel and large manuscript "8" due rating at center, bold Calcutta Steam Letter (4.11) backstamp with manuscript "6a" due rating, Very Fine.

Service (1.28.61) entry cds, reverse with "Paris a Lyon" (1.28) and Lyon arrival cds, Extremely Fine and choice.

A REMARKABLE THREE-COLOR 1857 ISSUE FRANKING FROM THE PAYEN CORRESPONCE TO FRANCE.

This was the maiden return voyage of the Cunard Line Australasian from New York Jan. 16th to Queenstown arriving Jun. 26th. It was prepaid 45¢ for the triple rate of ¾-1 ounces with 36¢ credit (3x 12¢) to Great Britain.
