Hawaii, (Kahului Railroad Co.) "Stolz", manuscript sender's cancellation on 2¢ red (U2b) entire addressed to Mrs. A. Barnes, Spreckelsville Maui, Very Fine.Estimate $200 - 300.
F.L. Stolz is listed as the treasurer of the Kahului Rail Road in "Poor's Directory of Railway Officials and Manual of American Street Railways Edition of August 1890" (New York), page 1256. F.L. Stolz was also the interim Postmaster at Kahului for only three months in 1889. Since this unusual use is undated, it is unknown if he was the acting as a a Railroad Agent or Postmaster at the time of this mailing.
