Agata di Militello with oval "Assicurata" + "Mes.a 24 Nov.e 1859", markings, on reverse is handwritten description of the rate of the time, Very Fine, a very pretty cover; signed A.Diena, Russo, Vaccari with 2015 Vaccari certificate. Sicily, 1859 Ferdinand II 10g indigo, 1, block of 28 (Pos. 52-58, 62-68, 72-78, 82-88; position 58 retouched), mint with full original (dried) gum, large margins to close at top, incredibly fresh and rich color, small cut between stamps positions 52 and 62, light horizontal crease at top and in the margin between the 3rd and 4th vertical rows, Very Fine, An impressive multiple, Large multiples of the 10gr value are scarce; most of the stamps in this multiple demonstrate a distinct "Ivory Head" effect on the reverse; signed "Asineli, Torino", Raybaudi etc., with 1990 Dr. Enzo Diena certificate.
