"Touchet WT, Apr 4" (Columbia), manuscript postmark cancels 3¢ pink (U59) buff entire to Walla Walla, Wash. Terr.; reduced slightly at top with small nick, no back flap, otherwise Very Fine, The earliest of only three recorded usages from this post office, the being the only manuscript example..
Estimate    $200 - 300.

Touchet of Columbia County post office was open from 1864 to 1872.

Co., Jan 26, 1884" oval arrival handstamp; light card creasing, otherwise Very Fine, One of only 3 recorded territorial uses, with two being manuscript. (photo on web site).

Estimate    $200 - 300.

Vaughn post office opened in 1888. Long-Boardman note two statehood strikes of this cds and mention it was possibly used during the territorial period. This example confirms it.

The Vernon post office was open only from 1882 to 1889.
