Civil War Correspondence Groups, 1861-65, three different correspondences comprising the "Chipp Correspondence" of 25 covers mostly with original letters from USS Katahdin Paymaster Rodney Chipp back home with some content, many posted at Philadelphia or New Orleans; Lt. John Hudson Correspondence of 35th Mass. back home to Wayland Mass., few letters with some accompanying covers, starting at Boston and tracing movements of Camp on Arlington Heights, Antietam, Camp at Pleasant Valley Md. including map of Antietam, and finally Camp of 2nd Brig, 2nd Div., 9th A Corps, Virgina; and the A.A. Thayer Correspondence 1862-65 of the 96th Ohio V.I., large group of over 100 letters that include a few patriotics and better patriotic lettersheets incl.
