Civil War and Slavery Related Accumulation, material including American Anti-Slavery Almanac for 1840, full dies of various Generals, several Col. Ellsworth items, anti-slavery letter, numerous photos include Greeley, Fremont, Lincoln x3, etc.; a nice historical group.

Civil War Correspondence Groups, 1861-65, three different correspondences comprising the "Chipp Correspondence" of 25 covers mostly with original letters from USS Katahdin Paymaster Rodney Chipp back home with some content, many posted at Philadelphia or New Orleans; Lt. John Hudson Correspondence of 35th Mass. back home to Wayland Mass., few letters with some accompanying covers, starting at Boston and tracing movements of Camp on Arlington Heights, Antietam, Camp at Pleasant Valley Md. including map of Antietam, and finally Camp of 2nd Brig, 2nd Div., 9th A Corps, Virgina; and the A.A. Thayer Correspondence 1862-65 of the 96th Ohio V.I., large group of over 100 letters that include a few patriotics and better patriotic lettersheets incl. "Great Naval Engagement of Fort Jackson" and an A. Lincoln; letters have great content about camp life, traveling widely with various campaigns incl. Vicksburg, Jackson Miss., New Orleans etc.; also includes a fourth pre-war correspondence from a Cadet at the West Point Military Academy; wonderful lot worthy of detailed research; some mixed condition normal to correspondence groups, F.-V.F.

Civil War Fake Patriotics, two pretty handpainted multicolor designs comprising Lady Liberty on Globe Kimmel-style bearing 3¢ rose (65) strip of three, each tied by neat "Jackson, Mich. Jun 21" double-circle cancels addressed to San Francisco Cal. (John Fox fake, 1980 PFC); and St. Louis and Lady Liberty Magnus design bearing 3¢ rose (65) tied by rubber "Saint Louis. Mo., Dec 1" cds to Plum River Ill.; both gifts to Graham from Scott Gallagher and Floyd Risvold, Very Fine and pretty pair of fakes.

(Civil War) Ohio in the Civil War, 1861-65, collection of approx. 100 covers mostly mounted on pages with many Patriotics, mostly 3¢ #65 frankings or stampless, a nice section of Camp Dennison and Miamiville Oh. uses include "Head-Quarters, Camp Dennison" imprint use; Soldier endorsed covers, "Branch Sanitary Commission" from Cleveland and "U.S. Christian Commission" use from Cincinnati; some better Patriotic designs noted incl. "McClellan Grapes and Stanton's Pills", Ohio Military imprint covers; Soldier Holding Flag design from Camp Taylor; "Onward to Victory" Lady Liberty, Gunboat Battle Scene, Camp Dennison near Cincinnati, Col. Ellsworth portrait design, etc., some potential content enclosures, etc; some typical mixed condition.

Civil War Postal History, 1861-65, collection of over 100 covers including a few Civil War patriotic designs, "Soldier Letter" endorsed covers, official imprints including "Bureau R.F. and A.L., H'd Qr's 5th Dist., Va., Fort Monroe, Va." and "Inspector General's Office, Dept. Virginia & North Carolina, Fort Monroe Va."; some letters with possible content, mostly franked with 3¢ #65 with range of cancellations, etc.

Civil War Patriotic Cover Balance, of 10 covers; includes embossed Flag cover with 3¢ rose pink tied by "G.B.D." postmark (General Banks Division), allover "Loyal to the Union States of Massachusetts" design, soldier and flag design on cover to San Francisco, Cal., "The Girl I Left Behind", State Seal wreath, Magnus dual panel design (faulty), "The House That Uncle Sam Built" allover (stamp added), also includes two fronts (one rebacked), three Waterbury, Ct. pictorial cancel forgery items and five C.S.A. stamped usages (one being a front).
