Lithographic Picture Manufacturers" featuring five panel design in blue including Marching Troops, Soldiers Firing, Naval Artillery, Battle of the Ironclads, and Camp Scene with shade "Stamp Collar" at top right franked with 1866 2¢ Blackjack (trivial hidden flaws) cancelled by blue ink smudge, cover with corner nick at bottom right, F.-V.F., one of the most spectacular Patriotic cover designs; with 2004 P.S.E. certificate. The Northern passion for patriotic envelopes had faded by the time the 2¢ stamp was issued in the summer of 1863. Use of the 2¢ Black Jack on patriotic cover is rare - limited both by the time period and relevant postal rates for this stamp.
