China & Japan, Oldtime Collections, interesting collection with one volume of China and one volume of Japan, some early material is present with a variety of cancels, noted is a China 1c Large Dragon (4, unused), some 1897 Overprint Issues including two Red Revenues (78, mint, 79, used), plus some interesting 20th Century covers with unusual franking to South Africa (including two large size registered cloth covers), Japan includes early material with a variety of cancels, Postal Stationery & some Revenues, mixed condition, worth inspection.

China, Collection, 1878-1958, housed in Scott album; starting with Chinese Empire with complete 1878 & 1882 issues used with additional #2 x4, small dragons with multiples examples, 1894 issue complete mint, 1897 surcharges (Scott 28-37) complete mint and the following large surcharges complete, with some later surcharges, red revenues with Scott 78-79 used and mint 80, good showing of later definitive with some up to the high value used, the extensive 1930-40's Sun Yat-Sen issues well represented with studies of province types, back-of-the-book issues, nice section of Occupational issues with much mint completion and the later good sets mostly present, some useful PRC material with the occasional better, etc.; worth careful inspection.
Estimate    $4,000 - 6,000.

China, Collection, 1881-1912, housed on pages; starting with used Scott #8-9 with additional forgeries, complete Small Dragons with additional mint and shades (16 small dragons in all), 1894 Empress Dowager issue complete used with a couple additional mint and some fakes, 1897 Small Figure surcharges complete with many additional */o, selection of following surcharges including many higher values, four 1¢-2¢ red revenue issues used, nice showing of later issues, etc.; a nice array of issues with better throughout.

China & Hong Kong, Cover Group, approximately 130 covers mostly China with a handful of Hong Kong usages; China including a nice 1899 registered red band cover Canton to Tientsin, lots of 1940's airmail usages, lots of combination frankings, 1901 China - Japan mixed franking (one Chinese stamp missing), later PRC, Hong Kong including a oversized uprated registered envelope to U.S. (flaws but impressive); mixed condition, worth a look.

China, Group, 1958-65, all mint collection arranged in a China stockbook, featuring sets in pairs and strips with mostly five of each of nearly all commemoratives from 1960-65, including Ancient Chinese Art Treasures 1290-1307, Emperors 1355-1358, and Fruit 1414-1417, also some souvenir sheets and FDC's, some gum toning otherwise generally very fine, owner's Scott $7,000+.
