1851, 1¢ blue, type IIIa, double transfer, one inverted, position 81L1E, left stamp with margins clear to just shaving at lower left, in combination with 1851, 1¢ blue, type II, two singles (7) with center stamp double transfer, one inverted (position 71L1E), all tied by large "Paid" in grid handstamps on 1852 folded letter to Wiscasset, Me., red "Boston, 3cts, Jun 14" cds; right stamp with small creases, otherwise Very Fine, a rare type II & IIIa double transfer, one inverted combination on cover; with 2002 P.F. certificate.

Pkt, Oct 11" exchange cds, "16" decimes due handstamp and French transit and receiving backstamps; 1¢ stamp with small flaws including small tear and small cover tear at bottom, F.-V.F., a lovely pre-treaty rate cover via American packet bearing a scarce 10¢ type I multiple; signed Ashbrook, with 2006 P.F. certificate.
