Incoming February 1855 folded letter from Bagdad, Missouri with postmark postmark and "10" for collect of transcontinental rate, straightline "Advertised" handstamp applied at Oregon City, no indication of fee for advertising in Oregon Spectator newspaper, Very Fine, a rare Oregon City auxiliary handstamp.

Oregon City, Orgn., Aug 11. Superb strike of town postmark (type 2) on fresh 1853, 3¢ Nesbitt entire to Astoria O.T., neat manuscript cancel, no year date but O.T. designation in address indicates territorial use, Extremely Fine, wonderfully choice.

Clear cds's (type 2) on 2 covers; one stampless with weak strike assisted in pencil, showing "Paid" and "10" handstamps (rate from April 1855 to July 1863) addressed to Kansas Territory - probably territorial use, 2nd cover with pen-canceled 1851, 3¢ dull red (untied & scuffed) addressed to Downieville, Cal., fine strike but flap missing and some cover staining, Fine.
