Position 83 from the stone of 100, large margins, manuscript canceled on cover to Amity N.Y., red "New York, Paid 5cts, Apr 11" integral rate cds and manuscript "Missent & ford" notation; stamp with faults and lifted to show the manuscript cancel bleeding through to the cover, Very Fine appearance, a great local rarity with this being the unique used example of the Adams' City Express Post 2¢ Blue stamp genuinely used on cover, ex Schwartz; with 2005 P.F. certificate.

American Letter Mail Co., 1844, 5¢ black, thick paper (1st printing). Ample to mostly large margins, canceled by red brush stroke on folded letter to Philadelphia, Pa., letter datelined "Baltimore Feby 10, 1844", Very Fine; with 2009 P.F. certificate.

Philadelphia Despatch Post, 1843 (3¢) black on grayish. Large margins, light blue manuscript cancel and tied by red "3" handstamp on locally addressed folded letter sheet with the stamp tied by the ink from the address at bottom left, red "D.O. Blood & Co., City Despatch, Paid" circular handstamp at left; sheet missing sideflaps, the tying portion of the "3" handstamp has been enhanced and the manuscript docketing on reverse has been altered from "1845" to "1843", Very Fine appearance, still an extremely rare usage of the City Despatch Post striding messenger stamp on cover and the only known usage showing D.O. Blood & Co. using the predecessor Robertson & Co. adhesive and numeral handstamp, ex Kleman, Emerson, Brown; with 2010 P.F. certificate.

Margins clear to just in, manuscript canceled with ink splashes tying stamp on 1846 folded letter sheet to Catskill, N.Y., red oval "Cumming's Express, 2 Ct." locomotive handstamp and red "New York, 5cts, Nov 14" cds, Very Fine, a very rare example of the Cumming's City Post Black on Rose stamp used on cover, approximately six genuine on covers usages known, Ex Chapman, Hollowbush, Golden and Kuphal; signed G. Sloane, with 1999 P.F. certificate.
