Confederacy, 1863, 10¢ blue, die II, Trans-Mississippi Usage, strip of four pen canceled on a West To East Trans-Mississippi Express Cover endorsed "'Via' Moreauville, La. via Woodville Mississippi"; minor professional restoration, attractive Very Fine appearance; with 1994 C.S.A. certificate.

West to east express covers are nearly three times as rare as those sent east to west.

Confederacy, 1863, 10¢ blue (four huge margins all around), tied indistinct Abbeville, S.C. cds on narrow blue turned cover addressed to "Dr. R. Y. Dwight, Asst. Surgeon, Macon, Georgia So Ca" with docketing [from] Aunt Hattie Bryan, Sept 28th 1864, inside use franked with CSA #11c (partly cut off in creating envelope turn) used with manuscript cancel of Pineville, S.C. addressed to Miss Hattie Bryan, Abbeville, SC., Very Fine, Greatly detailed bio included from the unpublished biographical register of physicians who served the Confederacy in a medical capacity, ex-Hambrecht.
