Blue Tent was a hydraulic gold mining site and named for the first habitation (a blue tent).

(Nevada) Little York, Oct 22, manuscript postmark (NEV-950) on cover with red and blue Liberty on Globe patriotic design, to Johnston, R.I. franked with manuscript canceled 1857, 10¢ green, type V, with original 1861 enclosure datelined Christmas Hill, Very Fine, a very scarce patriotic usage from California.

(Nevada) Nevada City, Cal., group of the three 1850's integral rate cds's; includes the "3 Paid" cds (NEV-1190) canceling on 1853, 3¢ Nesbitt entire to S.F., the "5" rate cds (NEV-1200) on 1855 cover to Port Byron, N.Y. with additional "10" rate handstamp, and the "10 Paid" cds (NEV-1210) with manuscript date on cover to Boston, Mass.; all clear full strikes, some minor edge wear on Nesbitt entire, Very Fine.
