Paying the 42kr rate (7kr + 35kr beyond border) to New York, United States, tied by "Calk, 30, 3, 63" origin cds's, red "Aachen, Paid 23 Cts., 31/3" transit and "N. York Am. Pkt., 28 Paid, Apr 14" entry cds, Mainz, Coln transit on reverse; some minor perf toning, slight separation in 18kr pair at bottom, otherwise Very Fine, a very scarce combination usage; with 1986 Thoma certificate.

Württemberg, 1861, 18kr dark blue on thin paper. Nibbed perfs at top and right, tied by "Cannstatt, 6 Jan, 1864" cds with second strike alongside on cover to Chateau la Valliere, France, manuscript "Wf 12" accountancy credit, reverse with partial Paris transit and receiving cds's; cover missing backflap, Fine, still a rare 18kr single letter rate usage to France. Scott No. 29.

Tied by "Neunstadt, 16 Aug, 1867" cds's on 3kr carmine on bluish entire to Saigon, Cochinechine, endorsed "via France" at top and "via British Asia" below, red crayon "WF 24" beyond the border rate, numerous transit backstamps including "Marseille, 18 Aout, 67 "cds and "Saigon, Cochinchine, 4 Sept, 67" receiving postmark, Very Fine, a lovely usage and extremely rare destination to Saigon; with 1997 van der Linden & Thoma certificates.

Tied by "Stuttgart, 11 Nov, 1865" cds's on cover to Puebla, Mexico forwarded to Teziutlan and Tulancinco, endorsed "via Paris, St. Nazaire, Vera Cruz" at lower left, red "Pd." in oval and manuscript "wf 24" rate for beyond the border, red French and reverse with Heidelberg - Basel transit cds's, "½" reales handstamp for special foreign soldiers rate; cover with minor edge wear, Very Fine, an extraordinary and rare usage to a foreign soldier in combat with the troops of Maximilian.
